Today was the first time we have practiced as a group playing "All The Things You Are" for our curriculum concert. Mel and David were not in class, and as they (and Sophie) have helped me monumentally to practice and reach a performing stage. Not having them all there made me really struggle to sing properly and I think this has affected my outlook on my personal performance. By listening to my peers play their improvisations and feel the music they want to convey, I tried my best to match it with my personal interpretation of the song.
For future performances (both related and non-related to the current performance), I will practice more and listen to a variety of songs in the genre I am required to perform in. I also really appreciate all the feedback a perceive from both Ms Heggie and some classmates to better my performance, as they tend to pick up on things that I do not. I am feeling very confident that I can bring my performance to a high level by the concert.
